Visiting Scharffenberger Cellars
Located just outside the tiny town of Philo, 125 miles north of San Francisco near the rugged Mendocino Coast, Scharffenberger Cellars is nestled in the gentle hills rising from the Anderson Valley. Scharffenbergers tasting room has a charming and relaxed feel, with a welcoming ambiance. The tasting room regularly features new artists, so visitors can taste the Scharffenberger sparkling wine while perusing the latest display of local artwork.

Events
The Scharffenberger Cellars tasting room features new art exhibits every six weeks with an artist's reception on the first Saturday.
Current Artists (exhibiting until June 13)
Joanne Abreu has been a besket maker for over 15 years. Several years ago she was introduced to hard-shell gourds and has been creating with them ever since, transforming the gourds into embellished vessels and containers.
Alena Guest's engaging work begins with an acrylic underpainting, teeming with vivid color. Then using pastel, gold leaf, or ink, he completes her pieces with resonating symbology.
Upcoming Artists
"BOTANICALS" by Marcie Ann Long: Marcie Ann Long will display her paintings at Scharffenberger Cellars Art Gallery June 13 through July 24, 2008.
Marcie has just been accepted into the San Francisco Artists Guild, a venerable institution of 50 years, which promotes artists in the most prominent parks and public squares, exhibiting and selling their original works directly to art lovers from around the world. She also continue her graphics business, currently working on design, art direction, as well as photo styling for photo shoots.
There will be an opening reception for the artist Saturday, June 14, 2008, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, at Scharffenberger Cellars Tasting Room.

The Tasting Room is open daily 11-5, excluding major holidays. There is a $3 tasting fee.
